Robert Gumpertz is best described as
a Modern Emotive Expressionist. These paintings contain
mask-like faces and stylized, elongated figures that express
the human condition, evoking the many personalities of
ones own inner self.
The mixed-media materials used
include acrylic, gouache, sumi ink,
watercolor, colored ink, and
colored pencil.

Mr. Gumpertz is a graduate of the
California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland,
